eMeals Review and Giveaway!

Today is Wednesday! I love Wednesday. You know why? It's the day I get my eMeals meal plan! I've written about my love of eMeals before, but I love it so much that I need to share again.

eMeals - Easy Meals for Busy People!

For those of you that don't know, eMeals is a meal planning service. Every week eMeals sends me a meal plan for the upcoming week. For around $5 a month, the service includes seven complete dinners and a perfectly organized grocery list.

My favorite part about eMeals is that it saves us money and time! There is no wandering around the grocery store picking up random ingredients and hoping you have enough. The plans are coordinated so that if you buy a bag of celery, you use it in multiple meals. There is no waste, and no extra expense. Plus, with easy, already planned meals, the temptation to eat-out fades away.

If for some reason you don't want to eat one meal on the plan -- no problem. The grocery list is coordinated so you just need to cross that number off of the list. That way, there is no extra expense or hassle at the grocery store.

Plus, eMeals offers a wide variety of plans to fit everyone's lifestyle. On a diet? They have a plan for that! Gluten Free? They have a plan for that! Vegetarian? Organic family? Only shop at Wal-Mart? Yep, you guessed it, they have plans for that!

Most importantly, eMeals dinners are delicious, and actually easy enough for me -- a total non-cooker -- to make. One of my favorite meals from this past week has been:

Chili Pie with Sauteed Zucchini

You'll Need: 1/2 lb Ground Chuck Beef; 1/4 cup chopped red onion; 1t salt; 1/2t chili powder; 1/4 cup ketchup; 1 cup of corn; 1 package of cornbread mix.

To Make: Cook ground beef, onion, salt, chili powder, and ketchup until brown; drain. Add corn. Mix together and transfer to oven safe 8x8 pan. Prepare cornbread according to package directions. Pour cornbread batter evenly over meat and corn mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until cornbread is done.

While it cooks, saute slices of zucchini in some olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Yum! So delicious!

Next week, September 24-September 28, eMeals is hosting Family Week! It's a huge focus on eating dinner as a family and its importance. In celebration, eMeals is providing activities, recipes and giveaways all making it easier to enjoy dinner as a family. Check out eMeal's Facebook page and Twitter for more exciting Family Week information.

  1. Hi Nicole,

My comment in the rafflecopter got cut off some how. My husband and I are trying to eat healthier to build good eating habits for our daughter. I would love to win a subscription to the low carb emeals as we've found that's the best way for us to maintain a healthy weight. Thank you!

  5. I have been miserable both at planning meals and not being wasteful when buying groceries lately. I would love to try this out to see if it helps! I would try either the "clean eating" or the "natural and organic" plan.

  6. Ok that seriously sounds amazing! I waste so much freaking time and energy at the grocery store- I swear it is the most complicated thing in my life trying to plan meals. This sounds like the most ingenious idea ever! Just found your blog and have loved getting to know you better... I'm excited to follow along!

  7. LOVE this idea! I'd definitely choose the gluten free option. My husband has Celiac, so trying to find gluten free recipes or taking the time to convert 'regular' meals to gluten free is SO time consuming and stressful. What a wonderful idea! Thanks for the giveaway!
