Back to the Land of the Living

Back to the Land of the Living
I'm finally feeling better! Good even! After weeks and weeks of  morning sickness I can finally say I haven't gotten physically sick in two weeks. My energy level is returning back to normal. Its great. I have officially become a human eating machine, and I actually like the way food tastes. My first truly great meal was at a restaurant named Chino Latino's. I pretty much love everything I've ever had there, but I had been craving a dish called Black Laab. It is basically spicy beef Thai lettuce wraps. I haven't tasted something so great in awhile, and honestly I would eat it everyday if I could. Seriously. AMAZING. Anyway, ever since eating it I've turned the corner and I'm looking forward to all the new surprises the 2nd Trimester brings. Black Laab. So happy making lettuce wraps. The aftermath, Morgan had to stop me from finishing it all.

Morgan's Birthday

Morgan's Birthday
Last Friday was Morgan's 26th birthday. It was a great day. First we heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. Which of course was amazing. Then Morgan and I went and ate cupcakes at one of our favorite cake places. But the main event for the afternoon was going to the Science Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls . It was a wonderful exhibit. It was truly amazing to see the scrolls. They are an amazing historical, religious, and anthropological discovery. The exhibit was really done well, especially the audio tour that came with the exhibit. I highly recommend anyone in the area to come and see the exhibit. It was truly worth the money. Finally, Morgan and I ended the evening with a wonderful dinner out. All around, it was a wonderful day and a great way to celebrate my favorite person's birthday. Happy Birthday Morgan!! At the Science Museum! Happy 26th Birthday!

New Baby :-)

New Baby :-)
Surprise!! I'm pregnant! Yay!! I'm 13 weeks along, due March 20, 2011. Morgan and I found out a couple weeks before the Bar Exam back in July. Its been a long first trimester and I'm still waiting for the nausea to end. Honestly the exhaustion and nausea is a BIG reason I've been so lazy on blogging lately. Its also a big reason why Morgan and I haven't done a whole lot after the Bar Exam ended. We had a slight medical scare in the beginning but it turned out to be nothing. But the good news is we got a couple extra super early ultrasounds out of it. Which were really cool to see and amazing to have. Baby at 4 weeks and 5 days. The baby actually way to tiny to see (about the size of a poppy seed at this point), but this is his/her home.  Baby at 5 weeks 2 days. The big white circle was the baby's food supply until the placenta formed. The baby is the tiny white blob at the bottom. He/She was about the size of an apple seed at this point.   Thankfully

The Ten Commandments of Baseball Watching Etiquette

1. Do not block the view of the game from other fans. This is the most important of all the Commandments. I know this seems like a shock, but some people attend Minnesota Twins baseball games at Target Field to watch baseball. I know, I know, crazy considering how much delicious food you can eat, along with an amazing beer selection. However, a small percentage of people at Target Field did pay good money to sit and watch the game taking place on the field. Basically, you should not get up when the pitcher has actually thrown the baseball towards home plate, or anytime the ball is in play. This also applies when coming back to your seat. 2. Do not sit through the entire half-inning, and then wait until the moment in time when the pitcher is starting to pitch. Why do you sit there the entire time when nothing is going on and then wait until the game is back on to get up and get another hot dog? This is especially annoying when you sit in the middle of the row, beca

Labor Day Weeked

Labor Day Weeked
Morgan and I had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. It was basically a weekend of firsts and lasts for us. On Friday night we had our first fire of the fall. We sat outside by our fire pit and listened to the Twins game on the radio under a blanket. It was great to chill out in the cool weather and it made me very excited for the fall weather that is slowly approaching. Nettie loves the fire, in fact, she likes it a little too much and has to be closely watched or else she will burn herself. Lexi, on the other hand, hated the fire. This is the first one we have had since we adopted her, and she basically had to be forced to sit with us. By the end of the game she had gotten a little better, so hopefully as the fall progresses she will get more comfortable with them. Our Fire! Saturday included the "lasts" of the weekend. It was the last time we were able to hangout with CJ before she moved back to Chicago. :-( So sad. I'm happy shes found a good job and gets to be cl
