Toddle Along Tuesday: Favorite Toys

I know that I talk about the toys we use in tot school all the time, but I swear Henry plays with tons of non-educational toys! This week's Toddle Along Tuesday's topic is favorite toys, just in time to start making Christmas lists!

Here are Hen's top 5 favorite toys right now:

Cozy Coupe: Henry calls his car buddy-buddy and could play with this all day. Its going to be a long winter without it.

Stacking Cups: Hen could stack, knock over, and restack these cups all day.

Playskool Busy Poppin' Pals: Hen loves this toy so much we have three! One for inside, one for outside, and one at Grandma's!

Play Kitchen: We have the Step2 LifeStyle Custom Kitchen. Henry loves this thing, it's big enough to hold a lot of play food, but not so big to take over our house.

Fischer-Price Laugh and Learn Play table: Hen's starting to outgrow this, but he loves all the activities and music.

What are your kids' favorite toys? Should they be on Henry's Christmas list?

He is too cute! And what a little climber! My daughter loves her play kitchen too, that's one toy she has played with for almost 2 years now. :)

We're bringing the car into the basement so that Eli can use it over the winter. His new thing is to get into it and yell Byeeee! We're going to get him an art easel and kitchen from Ikea for Christmas. His favorite things right now? Matchbox cars. He LOVES them.
Those ride-in cars are such a 'thing', hey? Our daughter has one, and if she has friends over to play in the yard, there are ALWAYS fights over the car... they seem to be everyone's favourites!
There's that play kitchen again! Reagan loves them!! I can't wait for Christmas!

Our favorite is Evie's art table! It keeps her entertained for hours!
We have loved all those past or present! Great choices!

Stacking cups were probably our #1 best investment. Our's were less than $5 and have provided us with hours of entertainment for months.

Weston's in love with cars! All shapes and sizes of cars meet his needs. He also loves animals so we talk a lot during the day cows and pigs, and of course he's getting good at tackling the kitty. When we go outside he's very keen on looking for planes when he hears them :P

The Ultimate Montessori Toy List -- Birth to Five -- UPDATED 2021

When you are interested in Montessori, it can be difficult to know exactly what types of products you should get for your home. Or which types of "Montessori" materials are really worth the price. There are no rules about types of products can use the name Montessori which can add to the confusion. Not to mention, every toy manufacturer slaps the word "educational" on the package for good measure! 2021 UPDATE: Please be patient with links this year, with supply chain issues things are selling out faster and restocking slower. I anticipate some of the specialty toys will not restock once they are gone. Puzzles, in particular, have been difficult to find in stock. So, with this post, I'm going to try to help with this confusion! Here's a list of Montessori-friendly toys and materials for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.  First, let's clarify that there is no such thing as a "Montessori toy." Montessori never created toys, bu

Montessori Toddler: Favorite Toys and Activities 18 to 20 months

I've been putting off this post for a little while because I felt a little disappointed that I didn't have more to share. See, Teddy just isn't that into materials, especially those on the shelf. He tends to return to a couple of favorites over and over again and ignore all other attempts at shelf work. But, really that's my own adult feelings getting in the way of Teddy's own interests, and developmental path.  It's also me subconsciously valuing fine motor skills and stillness as more important than gross motor play and movement. I working hard not to do that, and want to normalize that all toddlers are different. All children have different interests and that concentration doesn't have to mean sitting still for long stretches of time.  This post contains affiliate links at no cost to you. With all that said, here are some of Teddy's favorites over the last couple of months. Favorite Montessori Toys 18 to 20 Months I'm listing the toys that have be
