All week, my friend Jayne over at The Naptown Organizer has been doing a mommy makeover challenge. The challenge has been to get dressed, do your makeup, hair, etc. and stay that way all day. As I've mentioned before, I need some serious help in the doing-something-for-me area. This was the perfect motivation.
This week has been majorly hectic so today is the first day I've really had the opportunity to participate. Monday and Tuesday I was at my parent's house. Wednesday is swimming lessons and a million hours of catching up on work.
How long did it take you to get ready? It took me about 25 minutes, although I showered last night before bed.
What did you do differently from your normal routine? I straightened my hair instead of pulling it into a ponytail. I put on mascara. And wore clean clothes -- yep, big day!
Did you go anywhere outside of your home? Yes, I went to a class with Henry and to Target.
Did you feel any different? Yes, it felt good to not look horrible in the class this morning. But I also cheated some and put my yoga pants on while I worked this afternoon. I still think I could have dressed a little nicer, but I'm in desperate need of some new clothes, and at 6:50 a.m. I wasn't that motivated.
Now the real sign that I look better will be to see if Morgan notices ;)

I always thought you looked beautiful. :) Little changes makes a BIG difference for sure. I'll get "you got dressed up" comments from just wearing earrings.

Nice job on "finally" deciding to join in. I've been debating it all week but I don't think it's going to happen for me. You girls look great, though!

I need to start taking care of myself as well. Before I met my husband I was always dressed nice and had the hair and makeup done. I miss feeling that good about myself.
I found you through TAT on growing up geek, by the way. -
