Montessori Resources for Learning at Home

I know that the world is captivated by COVID-19 right now and I keep going back and forth about whether writing about it hurts or helps my own anxiety about the situation. So far my children are still in school for the time being, but I'm not sure how long that will last. For many of you around the world the reality is that you are now looking at multiple weeks home with their children out of school.

If this is the position you suddenly find yourself in, I wanted to offer hugs and love. I know this cannot be easy for families, especially those where childcare is now needed. Many of us are left looking for ways to help our children learn at home and entertain themselves while we get some work done. I want to write more about that in the coming weeks, but today I want to share some resources where you can get some Montessori inspiration for play and learning at home.

This post contains affiliate links at no cost to you.

Print Books

I'm sorry that some of these are out of print and therefore more expensive than they once were, but you might be able to find used or via the library.

Books with Montessori and Montessori inspired activities: These are books where you will find fun and engaging activities for your children, but not always direct Montessori academic subjects. They also tend to be for younger children.

Books with More Traditional Learning: these books have a deeper focus on academic topics and traditional Montessori materials.

Online Learning

There are so many places online to get inspiration for Montessori learning that I can't share them all here. Additionally, there are so so many places that sell printables and ready to go Montessori materials and inspired activities. I'm not going to list those here, but I want to share some resources that go a bit deeper with Montessori learning and can provide some good information as you do more learning at home.

This absolutely isn’t a comprehensive list of all the available information and resources for learning about Montessori at home or activities to consider. I will be writing more about this topic in the coming days. Stay healthy out there!

Montessori resources for families looking for activities to try with their children at home. These are great tips for how to get started with Montessori at home and how to entertain children at home.

Do you have resources you would add to this list? Please share in the comments!
