5 Years of Marriage

While August 22 is a hard day, August 23 is a happy one. The end of one year, the beginning of another. Today, is our 5th wedding anniversary! I cannot imagine having a better partner than Morgan. He has been my rock through everything.

Instead of boring you with a long lovey love story, we decided to come up five things we've learned about marriage over the last five years.

1. It takes a lot more time, work, and effort than you think it does.
2. You can't expect to always be happy.
3. Avoid the hangries at all costs.
4. Remember to be spontaneous sometimes.
5. Don't stop laughing with {and at} each other.

Here's to the next five years. I love you, Morgan.

Do you agree with our advice? Do you have any advice for us over the next five years?

Totally agree on the hard work. I think that a lot of people don't realize that. It's not all rainbows it's work, but it's totally worth. Happy Anniversary!

HAHAHA! I've never heard of the hangries before, but I have seen them! Thankfully my husband doesn't suffer from such a problem, but if there is some way to combine tired+angry - yehap, we've learned to get past that, as well. Congratulations on the anniversary! 5 years and 7 years were always touted to be big changing points in your marriage, and after having been there and gotten through them, I think it's true!

Oh man, I never knew it had a name... the hangries. The only time I really snap is when I'm hungry.
