Baby Number 4

I'm sorry for the sudden absence from writing. In January, I found out that we are expecting baby 4 in September. And, while I super wish I was one of those women who feel a little queasy but still function during the first trimester. But, that is not my luck. Instead, I've been dealing with what has hands down been the worst "morning" sickness I've ever had.

Find the lovely topponcino here.

I've basically not been functioning well for the past 8 weeks or so. Something had to give, and writing was one of the many things that I've had to put aside. The good news is the baby looks great. We've had two looks at the baby, and all is well.

Even though I'm out of my first trimester now, I'm still not feeling good. I'm hoping to turn the corner and get back to sharing more soon. Dealing with constant sickness wasn't really in my plan but I know it will be worth it in the end.

Congratulations! Our three kids are roughly the same ages as your three kids and I can't imagine handling another tough pregnancy on top of all the day-to-day of life with them... you have my sympathy. Praying for perseverance and grace through the sickness. Thank you for all the writing you do here, especially about elementary Montessori, and about applying it to the Christian nurture of your children. :-)

Congratulations!! We have 4, ages 9 down to 19m. It has been quite an adventure, with some lows, but mostly the most amazing highs. Big family status has been a blessing I didn't even know I'd love as much as I do!
I'm excited to see your journey specifically because I have found Montessori in the home to be focused more towards the smaller families. Your blog has always been a vital resource and now it will be even more so!

Thank you for this fabulous post. I have a question. For a new parent that is researching the best baby products to buy, which product will you recommend as the must-have before every other product? Thank you.
