10 Months Old!

This past month has gone by faster than all of the other months, except maybe the first. I think it was the holidays thrown in the middle. But wow, what a great month.

Ignore the food all over his face.
Henry loves to read books.
Henry is growing up before our eyes this month. He has started to actually understand way more of what we say and what we do. He just seems to be "getting" it. Truly picking it up like a sponge. This month, Hen started coming to us when we ask him to, he will stop doing something when we tell him "no," and has started copying more sounds and words. This month, Henry started saying the word "hot," but we also heard him say "baby." Baby only happened once, so until he can do it again I'm saying it was just a fluke. Henry is also super close to saying "hi."

Cousin Elliot came over for a visit. Henry is learning to be "gentle," obviously didn't do a great job here.

Somewhere, Morgan's head exploded while Hen discovered a love of Lord of the Rings. Hehe!

This month, Henry started doing so many cute little things. He now will shake his head for yes. He will "back-talk" by screaming or something when you tell him "no" (which is cute, but frustrating). He has been waving bye-bye and hello like crazy, to everyone, all.the.time. He also does something called "muscles" where he does this little grunt and flex. And of course, the big one, he's walking! Finally, he got three new teeth this month! All in one day. All in a row - his two front teeth and one side. So he now has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom.

Playing in the new baby-zone.
I think it is the teething, but suddenly Henry has a huge attachment to his "patchy."
Not much has changed on the food front this month. We tried dairy, which was a huge fail. He was right back to having bloody poops. So our pediatrician wants him to wait until he is a year old to try again. Also, not much change this month with his reflux. The medication is working great, and his symptoms are under control. We did try cutting back on the dose but we quickly realized he was still in pain if we did that.

Hen loves to carry stuff around the room.

He knocked that pillow over to get into the non-safe zone.
Total trouble maker.
Right now, Henry has started to take a bigger interest in toys. He likes to bang things together, and dump things out. His favorite is still anything with wheels. The guy loves cars and trucks. Henry also spends a lot of time just walking. He walks from one end of the room to the other, back and forth. He is so proud of himself. Another favorite is opening and closing doors in the house. Thank God for door stops, there have been some close calls with his fingers!

I'm going to dedicate a whole post to sleep. The short story is that he doesn't sleep. At least not without fighting it, and not for more than 2.5 hours at a time. So look for the other post soon.

And, no, I will not be talking about the fact that in 2 months my baby will officially be a toddler. I'm choosing to ignore this fact. La La La La La...

His "surprised" face.
